Dog chocs

I'm continually amazed at the cute names companies come up with for their products. The name Petit Four Legs is so good, it's a great product and packaged very nicely. Not only do they make these great treats for dogs, that look like gourmet chocolates, but a portion of their profits go to a shelter in the Pacific Northwest ( Homeward Pet). So they definitely get our vote. The whole concept was started by a professional pastry chef in Seattle and each piece is made by hand in small batches from the finest US sourced human grade ingredients. What could be better than that… they look good, and if I could taste them (and maybe I could), then I'm sure they would taste good too!
The really good news is that they are available at one of the best pet stores in our town, Bark, Bath and Beyond on Oak Bay Avenue, Victoria.

The chocs at the top are Artisan Truffles - a crunchy peanut butter cookie crumble covered in rich dog-safe carob.

These petit four legs boxes come in carob chip or peanut butter flavour.

Cup cake mixes for dogs with a holiday edition that even has hand piped yogurt bone decorations!!!

Mmmmmm the ginger bread men have a hint of cinnamon and ginger. I want them!!

Sniffanys

This post could come under the category of 'glamour dogs' given the style and glitz of these collars. However, the real thinking behind their creation is far more important. These collars come in three different lines.
The "Silverline" and "Bronze" lines are made individually by an Australian company from semi- precious stones, precious stones and Swarovski Crystals.
But what really grabbed my attention was the "Well-Being" line - named because each stone is carefully chosen for innate qualities that support the overall well being of your pet. It's well worth the visit to Sniffanys for stories as to why certain stones are used for certain dogs and to see all the special collars that have been crafted. Only a limited number are made each year so go ahead and spoil your very best friend for christmas. Isn't Sniffanys a great name too!

Get felt at Christmas ;-)

I just had to do an extra post this week already. I just keep finding things I'm very excited about. These handknitted felted kitty toys are from Cattitude Creations and are so fun. The different patterns and colors are wonderful and just perfect for your cat's stocking, hmmm, I'm thinking that sounds a little obsessed! but there is an endless amount of stuff around to buy your pets and I know our cats would love these and their cute little faces.

Okay, it's a little early (I think) to feature christmas stuff. I would not usually think about it until at least December 1st. However, just last week Liberty of London and British designer Luella Bartley jumped the line early by launching her ultimate christmas list of goodies and their fantastic window displays to coincide with the Christmas lights switching on in Carnaby Street. Liberty is a store close to my heart (having done a lot of display work there years ago) I love the way it has supported many British designers over the years. Many consider it to be one of London's iconic stores and  the building itself ranks as one of the coolest in London's West End.
Yet again, their famous Christmas window displays  impress and amaze - there is always so much to look at! Even though the competition is fierce, to me, they are always the winners! A couple of the pictures below I found on wee birdy  give you a kind of 'Little Red Riding Hood' feeling. I've also included a couple of shots from Gap in Regent Street featuring similar animals! Oh No!...I feel a little homesickness coming on.
