Quirky must-haves

Given the ton of whimsical stuff on the market in the form of dogs and cats, there's a distinct danger that you could become completely nuts and totally obsessed with collecting it. In addition to really beautiful pieces of art and home decor there are precious little trinkets that become 'must haves' or at the very least a great pressie for an equally obsessed friend.

You will find this keyring cat torch at the Sam Concept Store in Paris. Its a really fun site with so much quirky stuff for the home. This bulldog candle is just one from a range of little animals. The dog towel holder from Kikkerland clasps the towel good and tight, and also from Kikkerland is this Bulldog bottle opener. It looks quite scary and also comes in the form of a bear. Love the little squiggly sausage dog cable tidy that looks like it could have so many other uses.

Nothing cuter than a doggy teabag holder I saw on Trendhunter and USB flash drive from Hemingway Fun

       Happy collecting :-)

Cardboard homes and Litterboxes

These Eco-friendly cats pods and litter boxes are from Feloo. They are so perfect for a Worthy Wednesday feature! Easy to self-assemble, they use environmentally friendly inks. They come flatpacked in biodegradable branded bags and unpackaged in bulk for vet’s practices, catteries and rescue centres.
Feloo's origami-inspired products have been designed first and foremost for your cat. Made out of your cat’s favorite thing, cardboard, they look good in your home too! This new material is lined and water resistant like a coffee cup. The trays and lid can be recycled and the sleeping pods can be composted. You can also get a cardboard scoop and, like the trays, they have a waterproof lining so they can be wiped clean and reused!
Good news too - they can last up to 4 weeks! My cats would definitely need a comfy blanket to go in the pods and they have even been made to accomodate that.
Check out the site, so many good reasons to use these! Happy worthy Wednesday.

Saucy Sausage

There are a lot of weiners around (or sausage dogs as they are known in the UK) and they always remind me of my little dog BoBo who passed away years ago. They seem to be popular not just in real life but also on items ranging from greetings cards, salt and pepper pots to bookends. I have collected loads of different things over the last few weeks so here is just a wee selection of what I have... These cards are from the Blue Barnhouse store and are just a little snippet from a selection that are not only a
little saucy, but rude and really funny! Check out Mr Lipstick's 'lipstick'.

These salt and pepper shakers from Kikkerland All you need is a little bag to pick the pepper up:-)

Always love the Caroline Gardner cards and she has not only put her mark on this chap, but has created a line of dog collars too! They have a high quality look and are part of her distinctive style.

Finally, eclectic Sausage Dog bookends from Barneys (They also have Scotty dogs and Pugs.)
