These, not-so-small felt pet models are from Amelia makes art. This is one of the most fun posts to write and I have giggled all the way through choosing the shots. You will see a photo of a pet and beside it a 'doppleganger" made from felt. I just can't stop smiling at the felt faces beside their real life owners.
Amelia creates these from the image of the pets themselves and they are a distinctly different take on the normal pet portrait. There are so many pictures on her site, it was hard to choose this little collection so take a peek if you need a smile today.

The first two remind me of dolls houses back when I was a toddler and I'm sure I would feel the need to dress them with the best furniture and accessories.

A Big thankyou

I introduced you to Kamo as a stray kitty who had sustained major trauma to her face, leaving her with a badly broken jaw and a damaged eye. She has been in VPAS' care for several weeks now and is doing well.
Kamo has had the surgery that she needed to repair her broken jaw. She is eating with gusto, she is no longer on any medications, and she is gaining back some weight. Kamo is permanently blind in her damaged eye, but at this time it appears as though she'll be able to keep it and does not need to have it removed.
Kamo is a very strong kitty who has healed remarkably quickly.
We went to see her at the weekend, she has a wonderful spirit and  is extremely affectionate, she just wants to be with people all of the time. We are excited to announce that Kamo will be headed to a foster home next week and should be ready for adoption soon.

What could brighten a Monday morning more than these pieces of jewelry from petites curiosities. A talented young woman from Paris used her inspiration from 16th century european curios to create these beautiful long-chain pendants. I love her blog too, it shows photos of her products in some Parisian shops - just lovely!
Wouldn't they make good christmas presents and lucky for us we can buy them on line.
