Dress to impress!

I came across these beautiful Linda Higgins dresses the other day and was totally amazed at how equisite they are! After a bit of research I discovered that other people had blogged about these too, and I'm way down the line in finding them, but who cares? They are incredible works of art and deserve the extra coverage. Maybe it's because wedding season is around the corner, but all this prettiness is just too hard to resist! All her creations are made from the finest silks and these classy built-in-harness dresses just ooze comfort and class. Look a little deeper and you'll find there are hats, bows and even clothes for the boys too!

             

From the looks on their little faces, I think the models love them too.

Beach Dogs

Summers coming! Or at least it was for a couple of days and it's now time to get the feet ready. Yup, big task, after being scrunched up in boots for a while, but worth it if you can then slip into these fun flip-flops from Teddy the Dog. If I had a pair I would definitely call them my beach dogs! They are embossed "Teddy was here" with a paw print on the sole, as well as a Teddy toe licker shoe charm on the banding. Just kick 'em off and lay back on the matching beach towel.

So gorgeous and very clever these childrens toys from Kristin Loffer Theiss Works double up as dog toys.
Animals are printed on 100% cotton twill and coloufully backed in beautiful Denyse Schmidt cotton. The drawings on these plushies are silk-screened versions of an original drawing in thread using free-motion sewing. If you are curious about how this is done, there is a demonstration here

The same designs are seen on tee-shirts for kids and grown-ups!

and also on these bags, that are made from a blended cotton yarn produced from the excess fabric of newly made clothing and 20% Bottle Bag material (material made from 100% recycled soda bottles). It's fascinating what is produced from recycled materials and how creative people can be.
